Arrogant: Garrett can be bull headed and egotistical when it comes to most things. He is stubborn and prefers his way over any other method, even if his way makes things harder. It's almost impossible to change his mind once it's set and can be down right maddening. He'll argue a point until you're blue in the face without showing an ounce of emotion himself. His arrogant nature often leaves him into rather troubling situations that can only be resolved by expending ammunition or bloodying his fists.
Womanizer: Garrett loves the ladies and likes to think they love him back. He has never had a serious relationship in his life though and this trend has only gotten worse since the outbreak. Becoming 'attached' leads to weakness and distractions which are two sure fire ways to get yourself killed. However he is still very much a physical being and is often highly flirtatious. However he does know and understand the meaning of the word 'no' and won't push his luck TOO much once a lady makes her intentions clear. However nothing turns him on more than a strong, independent women ;D
Vengeful: Garrett's dark side is something that few people have actually seen. It's something he doesn't like about himself but he doesn't do much to stop it. Piss this man off, get on this bad side? You'll be lucky if you get a grave. Garrett never lets go of a grudge, not until he gets a chance to 'pay you back'. His revenge always much worse than what the 'crime' deserves but he doesn't see it that way. He doesn't take shit from anyone and he won't be taken advantage of...
Brooding: Garrett is kinda like the kid that never grew up. He is quiet and very broody. He rarely talks unless he has a good enough reason to and when he does he dips his head and mutters. Often he can be found just...sitting somewhere quiet 'thinking' with a scowl on his face. In fact he almost always wears a scowl and if not that a sneer.
Intimidating: This goes hand and hand with his brooding nature. Garrett can often be intimidating to people who don't know him. He rarely talks, scowls and has a habit of staring people down. He's not afraid to look you dead in the eye and say nothing for several minutes. He often does it from below the brim of his hat or from behind his saggy brown hair. His body language is often stiff, muscles tense which gives some the impression that he is bracing for something. Some think he's always preparing to land a punch on you which may or may not be true...
Wolf in Sheep's clothing: One second he's your best friend the next he's holding your head under the water. Garrett is like a flip board with a trigger word no one seems to know. Don't let his quiet demeanor and lack of words think he's a push over. While he hasn't participating in any sort of crimes (at least on record) he's been around that sort of thing all his life. He has lived with it and learned from it. Manipulation is a game he knows well and wins often.
Garrett is not at ALL what he seems. He still harbors many dark secrets and molten hatreds that he hasn't let go of. Don't underestimate him.

✖ H I S T O R Y:
Before the outbreak:Garrett is a bit of an unfortunate soul. As a child things were rough. Garrett was a foster child for as long as he can remember. He was passed around from home to home for years and never stayed in one for more than a year. It was hard on him, the young boy never feeling wanted or good enough for the people who took him in. By the time he was ten he had given up all hope of finding a true home so he stopped trying. He wasn't charming, he didn't play nice, he was dark, quiet and even took to getting into trouble on purpose.
It wasn't until he met his 'Uncle Charlie' that his life too a slightly better turn. The family who took him in was quiet, 'perfect' by the rules of old school. The father was a manager at a local office, the mother a stay at home housewife and with them were two of their own biological kids. Garrett never liked the family though, finding their 'perfect' life to be too fake. However the fathers brother, Charlie, was a spot of sunshine to Garrett. The man adored him, understood him since he was the black sheep of the family too.
Charlie lived just outside Copperhead Creek, most of the year and stayed in a hunting cabin in Montana during the hunting season. It was there that Garrett spent most of his time (when he could). The two were inseparable and got along like long lost brothers. From the outside their relationship could be seen as....'odd'. Charlie was an ex-con and a mild alcoholic and when it got around he was spending so much time with his brothers 14 year old foster kid...eyes turned on them.
Their relationship was the healthiest that Garrett ever had though. Charlie taught Garrett how to hunt and track. He learned most of what he knows now about guns from Charlie too and found that it was something he was good at. It inspired the boy to try again since Charlie showed him that he COULD be good at something.
Things went south fast though. A few months after Garrett was taken in by the family the husband was caught cheating with his wife's sister. The family fell apart and Garrett was sent back to the orphanage. Charlie attempted to adopt the kid himself but when his record came to light the agency said no and made certain Garrett and Charlie never met again.
After this point Garrett was a dark spot. He just about flunked out of high school and narrowly missed being thrown into Juvi at least 4 times. He had one last chance at home when he was 16. A rather pleasant couple, both dentists, took the boy in and hoped to 'turn his life around'. However this was when Garrett entered his darkest phase. He became one of those typical 'goth' kids who wore all black, listened to metal and who 'no one understood'. The dentists, both highly religious, thought he boy was becoming satanic and started to try and 'cure' him. Of course this just made Garrett rebel more and when he got into dark creatures the pair of seemingly normal dentists snapped. They...did something horrible. So bad that it's not even on his records for Garrett's sake. The boy was never the same after that though and became even more reclusive after the fact.
When he turned 17 he ran away and refused to stay at the orphanage anymore. He moved in with a friend and jumped around from house to house until he managed to get a part time job and a rotten apartment in a bad part of town.
Eventually Garrett moved out of this apartment and settled instead in a tree house he had built in his free time in a park. He managed on his own for a long time while attending a local community college. He learned during his time there that he was good at one more thing: History.
Garrett loved reading about the civilizations of old and loved reading about ancient battles most of all. During his brief college years Garrett dabbled in gaming too which he found was a fantastic relief from the horrors of real life.
He never got a degree but Garrett eventually got a decent job and moved into a house with some of his work friends. However these friends ended up dragged Garrett down a path he never planned to go down. The group was unhappy, disgruntled and planned to rob the store they worked for. Garrett wanted no part in it though and quickly moved out and quit at the store to avoid these men who threatened to kill him if he squealed. Unfortunately his efforts proved to be in vain. The men stole his car to commit the crime and in the end was thrown into jail for being an accomplice even though he had no hand in the robbery.
Luckily (or perhaps unluckily) Garrett's time in prison was short lived. He man was in jail for a gran total of 2 days when the infection hit. The prison was quickly overwhelmed and Garrett was able to walk out without a soul stopping him.
Since his 'escape' Garrett has returned to Copperhead, hoping to reconnect with his long lost 'uncle' and to find a safe place to stay...

Returning to Copper Head Creek
Returning to Copper Head as not all Garrett thought it would be. He had hoped that, being such a small community that, perhaps, the plague had not touched it. He was quick to realize he was wrong. The first thing the man did was set out to find his 'uncle' but when it became clear just how infected the town was he put off his plans until he had a safer means of reaching the otherwise remote cabin.
Along his way he caught sight of the 'Lawmen' and was quick to pass judgement. Ever since being found guilty of a crime he actually DIDN'T commit the man had learn to distrust anyone with a badge. It came as no surprise that joining up with the rest of the towns 'misfits' aka the 'Outlaws' was the logical thing to do. Garrett settled in easily and worked fast to make 'friends' though they were more like Allies in the group. He told stories of his uncles cabin and on several occasions attempted to convince members to leave the Outlaws to help him to Montana.
Of course that didn't sit well with the old boss which left Garrett thinking....If I was in charge...

Fall of Copper Head Creek
When the boss man died Garrett was fast to take over. He shaped up the outlaws and started to formulate a plan to head to Montana and seek out his uncle. After all it was still late in the hunting season when the dead started to walk so there was a chance right? Right. Unforunatly the new Outlaw leader didn't have much time to enact his plan. Just as he and his band were gearing up to head north everything went to hell.
A MASSIVE herd from Houston flooded into Copperhead. They attacked and ate everything they could get a hold and sent much of the old 'gang' scurrying out in a million directions.
In the chaos Garrett did manage to grab the one person he considered too important to loose, his Co-Leader Nora. The pair attempted to round up the gang outside of Copper Head Creek but it became clear that few of their old 'family' had made it out alive. With nothing left in Texas the pair decided, what the hell, they could head north. After all what else was there?

New Lives in Montana
The travel across the country was a difficult one. The pair of ex-outlaws barely made it in one piece but they DID make it. Once they arrived they hurried to restock and settle in. It didn't take them long to start earning a reputation. The people of the north seemed rather...sheltered from the horrors from the outside world and this was something to take advantage of. Garrett quickly formed his own Mercenary group, dubbing them the 'White Wolves'.
The White Wolves are known for taking on a lot of...dangerous contracts. Things like tracking down dangerous walkers and animals, carrying out justified hits and retrieving hard to find items. Garrett charges a pretty steep price for his contracts but is often willing to haggle and work out deals with people depending on the circumstances.
The one thing he can NOT stand however? Raiders. While the Outlaws were the 'baddies' back home these people make them look like saints. He finds their ways to be atrocious, inexcusable and damning.
As of late, Garrett lost contact with Nora, probably the only person who was keeping the already sadistic man on a sane playing field.
With her gone and no one else left to really 'care' for Garrett has turned darker. Some of his crew have even contemplated leaving due to their bosses new passion for sadistic torture....

History tid-bits
- Garrett got the scar on his face from trying to break up a dog fight when he was in college. He doesn't hold any hostility towards the animals that did this but still thinks the owners were dumb asses. The dogs had tried to go at one another when on a walk and their owners tried to 'make' them like one another. Clearly it didn't work out...
- He rarely shaves, he likes the rough look his 'scruff' gives him
- His favorite video game he ever played with 'Red Dead Redemption'. This game pushed him to loving horses and loving the culture of the old west. He even likes and still enjoys dressing like John Marshton.
- 'Kyler' is not his real last name. Legally it's something else he's long forgotten. However Kyler was Uncle Charlies last name which is why he goes by it.
- Garrett is still looking for his Uncle now that he has reached Montana. Whether or not he is still alive is unknown to everyone but Garrett is optimistic.

. Personality: Brutus is a testy puff ball of aggression. He doesn't like anyone but Garrett and can be dangerous. He prefers to be on his own and is kept in a small run back behind the Outlaws hideout. He doesn't like animals and really doesn't like people, especially not men. He's alright with Women but doesn't like to be petted or babied. The only thing he really does seem to like it eat, kick walkers and run.
. History: Brutus was the first 'crime' Garrett ever committed. During his college days he worked at a rescue stable to earn some credits. Brutus came in near the end of his volunteer time there and was a hot mess from the start. The stallion bite three people and kicked two. The stable was planning to put him to sleep the last time Garrett had checked in but it appears they didn't. The scars on his right side are new since Garrett saw him and since he discovered the horse at a private residence...he suspects something fishy was going on.
Garrett can only assume that the poor stallion is the victim of major abuse and, like him, have been slow to heal.

Garrett is an efficient and dependable guy. He'll get you what you need in a speedy time guaranteed. He also is very reasonable when it comes to his fee and won't ask for an arm or leg in return for simple requests. Though he will up the price if you're asking a lot of him or his life will be in serious danger preforming the job.
